EAST GRAND FORKS, MN — Bully Brew is making its way to East Grand Forks. The coffee shop will be moving into Corner Coffee's building on 4th St. and Demers Ave. This new location will be called Bully Brew East. Bully Brew's owner says Corner Coffee's owners approached her and asked if she'd like to buy the building.
GRAND FORKS, N.D. — After a year in the making, a community workshop is a reality in Grand Forks. A makerspace moving into Skari's Radiator Repair on Demers. It's a place where people can come to use tools to work and create things that they wouldn't have the space or tools to do at home. The workshop is going to have welding equipment, metalworking tools, woodworking tools, even 3D printers with designing and modeling software.
Cavalier, N.D. — A Pembina County Sheriff's Deputy is under investigation for assault. The ex-fiance of Deputy Brad Bowman claims he attacked her Monday, April 9, during an argument. The Cavalier Police Department responded to the call. Deputy Bowman was not arrested at the time.
Grand Forks, N.D. - After two years in the works, Minnkota Power Cooperative is almost ready for move into its new home. Building is almost complete at Minnkota Power Cooperative's new corporate complex on 32nd Avenue South. The $65 million building will be 250,000 square feet. They're excited to accommodate more growth, trucks, and bigger equipment.
GRAND FORKS, N.D. - A local mother calls for the resignation of the Grand Forks superintendent. Tina randal's son, Jonathan Black, was a sophomore at Grand Forks Central high School when he died by suicide in May. On Monday at a school board meeting, the mother called out Superintendent Larry Nybladh and the district for not doing enough to help her son, saying he had been called names by teachers like "lazy" and, Nybladh called him a "copy cat".
Grand Forks, N.D. - Leave some extra time in your commute if you're using the bridge over Demers Avenue in Grand Forks. Traffic has been backing up over the bridge as one of the left lanes to turn onto Washington Street is closed for construction. A city traffic engineer tells us they don't plan on re-timing the lights.
