Petrik joins KLJ

BISMARCK, N.D. – Engineering firm KLJ has hired Scott Petrik to work in the company’s Grand Forks, N.D., office.

Petrik, an engineer, earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Montana State University. He is registered as an engineer-in-training in North Carolina and joins KLJ with two years of experience.


Reisdorfer appointed Sioux Falls’ director of innovation and technology

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Jason Reisdorfer has been appointed to the new position of director of innovation and technology for the city of Sioux Falls.

Reisdorfer will oversee the new Department of Innovation and Technology, comprised of the divisions of Geographic Information Systems, Information Technology, and Communications (formerly named Multimedia Support).

Reisdorfer is a Sioux Falls native and attended Augustana University. In 2012, he sold his restaurant business to go work with his long-time friend Eric Weisser; and together, they built Weisser Distributing into one of the fastest-growing companies in South Dakota, reported the mayor’s office of the city of Sioux Falls.

The company recently earned its fourth consecutive selection to the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing private companies in the United States. As the Director of Operations, Reisdorfer led Weisser Distributing’s growth from four employees and $1 million in sales to more than 130 employees with warehouses in three cities and are on pace to record over $65 million sales in 2018.


ACLU of SD names community engagement associate

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The American Civil Liberties Union of South Dakota has promoted Kadyn Wittman to full-time community engagement associate to coordinate outreach with communities throughout South Dakota.

As the community engagement associate, Wittman will partner with legal, advocacy and communications staff to grow volunteer opportunities and community involvement with the ACLU.

Previously, Wittman served as the ACLU’s administrative coordinator. Before joining the ACLU, Wittman worked as the work study coordinator at Augustana University’s Mikkelsen Library.
