Community workshop coming soon to Grand Forks
GRAND FORKS, N.D. — After a year in the making, a community workshop is a reality in Grand Forks.
A makerspace moving into Skari's Radiator Repair on Demers.
It's a place where people can come to use tools to work and create things that they wouldn't have the space or tools to do at home.
The workshop is going to have welding equipment, metalworking tools, woodworking tools, even 3D printers with designing and modeling software.
You can pay by the day or get a membership.
They also will be offering classes for kids and adults.
"Sometimes you just want to learn to do something new, you don't know how to weld, you just want to learn it and so we'll have classes. Which is another opportunity to employ our makers in the city and give them something, a way to make money with their skills," Aaron Mooney, Grand Forks Makerspace Founder.
They hope to open July 1st.
