Prairie Den in Fargo marks first birthday
FARGO, N.D. — Prairie Den, a collaborative coworking space in downtown Fargo, marked its first year this week.
Prairie Den, 122½ N. Broadway, was launched last summer by nonprofit Emerging Prairie after Minneapolis-based CoCo closed its coworking space there after 10 months in the community.
According to Emerging Prairie, Prairie Den is now home to 140 members and four full-time startups: Emerging Prairie, Hash Interactive, Tellwell and PuPaPo. It hosts regular events and meetups, including Drone Focus Monthly, Girl Develop It and Startup Drinks.
"We really believed that coworking could add value to Fargo if we did it in a way that made sense to the community," Annie Wood, Emerging Prairie's program director, said. "This space needs to feel like it's for Fargo, by Fargo, and meeting Fargo's needs."
