Arvig hires fiber network industry standout

PERHAM, Minn. -- Arvig announced the hire of Bob Hurtgen as Fiber Network Account Manager. In this role, Hurtgen is responsible for building new, and enhancing current, relationships with fiber network wholesale customers and will be focused on expanding the Arvig network into states surrounding Minnesota.

“Our network and fiber assets have been growing at an incredible rate and our team is growing right along with them,” said Dave Schornack, Director of Business Development and Sales at Arvig. “We are excited to provide a connection between Minnesota and Wisconsin and are confident with his experience, Bob is going to take our reach to the next level and we will continue to grow into our neighboring states.” 

Hurtgen draws from nearly 26 years of sales experience, with 22 of those years in the telecommunications industry. He has expertise in serving fiber retail, enterprise and wholesale customers and expanding networks particularly in the state of WI. Additionally, he has experience working with telecommunications contracts at the state level and had a lengthy career working for members of the Wisconsin State Legislature. 


Marco honored for high performance with elite dealer award

CLOUD, Minn. -- Marco was named an Elite Dealer by ENX Magazine – an award given to top-performing office technology dealerships nationwide. 

The recognition acknowledges Marco’s commitment to customer satisfaction, quality service and cutting-edge technologies. 

Marco was one of the 137 companies on the Elite Dealer list that will be featured in the December issue of ENX Magazine. Companies honored range from sub-$3 million performers to $300 million-plus firms across the country. In addition to offering outstanding support and solutions to customers, Marco was recognized for its willingness to partner with clients in a manner that is mutually beneficial.

This is the seventh consecutive time Marco was named to the Elite Dealer list. A consistency that speaks to Marco’s dedication and expertise in the industry.

Sydney Mook

Sydney Mook has been covering higher education at the Grand Forks Herald since May 2018. She previously served as the multimedia editor and cops, courts and health reporter at the Dickinson Press from January 2016 to May 2018.  She graduated from the University of South Dakota with a bachelor's degree in journalism and political science in three and half years in December 2015. While at the USD, she worked for the campus newspaper, The Volante, as well as the television news show, Coyote News. She also interned at South Dakota Public Broadcasting and spent the summer before her senior year interning in Fort Knox for the ROTC Cadet Summer Training program.
