FedEx moving airport ramp operations from Grand Forks to Fargo
FedEx plans to move its airport operations from Grand Forks to Fargo by November, a spokeswoman for the Memphis-based package delivery company said.
The move will shift 75 jobs from the "ramp" facility to Fargo, FedEx spokeswoman Jennifer Caccavo said today.
"It's all of our air service" Caccavo said. "Our ground operations may still be there (in Grand Forks), but our air operations are moving."
FedEx plans to move into a leased facility at Hector International Airport, she said.
All of the people now working in Grand Forks can keep their current jobs with the move, Caccavo said.
The move to Fargo is being made to improve customer service by providing earlier delivery and later pickup times, she said.
"This adjustment is similar to others we've made over the last few years" to improve service, she said.
