FARGO--Hundreds packed the Ramada Plaza and Suites and Conference Center in Fargo Tuesday for the annual ChamberChoice Awards luncheon hosted by the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber of Commerce.
The categories and winners in each were:
Small Not-For-Profit of the Year: TNT Kid's Fitness & Gymnastics.
Not-For-Profit of the Year: Hospice of the Red River Valley and Plains Art Museum (tie).
Small Business of the Year: Office Sign Co.
Business of the Year: Discovery Benefits.
Young Professionals Best Place to Work: Choice Financial.
Entrepreneur of the Year: Matthew Lachowitzer, owner of Matt's Automotive Service Center.
People's Choice Award: Robert Gibb & Sons Inc.
All but the People's Choice Award winners were picked from among 18 finalists that were selected by a panel of judges from the area's business community. Chamber members selected the People's Choice Award through an online vote.
For the third time, comedian and public speaker James Cunningham was master of ceremonies for the awards, and as in years past Cunningham delighted the crowd with lightning-fast one liners and humorous asides.
