USDA certifies rural business investment fund
WASHINGTON - The U.S. Department of Agriculture has certified the Innova Ag Innovation Fund for small and startup rural businesses. It will support 30 to 45 companies with the potential to generate more than $200 million, create 600 jobs and provide capital for high-growth companies in the bioscience, technology and agriculture technology industries.
Strong candidates for the USDA funding must demonstrate success working with community development organizations and management with venture capital experience.
